You WILL be a raving lunatic! I mean it! *carves backwards L*

Haha wow...
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/24/mccain.sticker/?iref=hpmostpop

THIS is the reason I love elections. This right here.

So, if you haven't already heard the exciting news, a woman named Ashley Todd, 20 years old, from Texas, has lately come to Media Attention claiming that she was attacked by an Obama supporter and that the accused carved a backwards letter "B" into her cheek. This sounds radical, eh? Terrible! Completely insane!
Yeah that's because it isn't true.
The woman claimed that this "attacker" was a 6'4" black male wearing dark clothing and shiny shoes. He apparently beat her, demanded money, planted himself onto her chest, and carved a backwards "B" onto her cheek while saying "You will be a Barack supporter!"...all at a gas station.
Not only would this black man have been mental, but also somewhat idiotic considering the B was backwards.

Of course, once the story received too much attention, this girl came out and claimed that she made the story up while driving and thought "Hey, I have a B on my face...how did that get there? I must have done it. Well that's no good. Oooh I know..." Voila, story.
Do I need to say that she has a history of mental problems, or are you already picking up on that?
Anyhow, the McCain family contacted her family and apologized over and over again for the attack, the Obama campaign send out respects and well-wishes...and for no reason. I mean, I wish her well now, considering that she is completely out of her mind.

I'm not posting this thinking Ha, crazy McCainiacs. No, I'm just really thinking that things get out of hand. Neither of the candidates are worth this. It would have been equally ridiculous had a McCain supporter carved a "J" on some Obama campaign worker's face. I always find these things oddly interesting. I guess the sadistic side gets to me, and her mental torture from this is cracking me up.
I can see Lyndsay doing this to me, carving a flower on my face, screaming "You will worship Brandon Flowers!"
I can see most of my friends pulling a stunt similar to this, both the making it up part and the actual doing it.

Let's go carve pumpkins now.

The Man Who Sued God

Yes, you read that title correctly.
Read it for yourself, here...
http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art2008101813274726
Yep.

Okay this article has a lot of side stories that I really don't want to get into, so I'll cut to the chase. Apparently a Mr. Ernie Chambers of Nebraska has sued God for many crimes against humanity, including terrorism. Yes...he sued "God".
Now, needless to say, Chambers lost the case before it was even heard. The judge said that the defendent has no fixed address and therefore had no representation. But Chambers says that he might appeal, saying that if the judge has admitted that he believes in God, which he has, then he also must believe that he is omnipresent. He is there, He is everywhere, right? Well, with this in mind, he hopes to get..what? I don't know..what could you sue God for? That's a question to ponder.

Money? Surely not. God isn't one to dish out money, I would suppose.

I wonder what else the "Almighty" could be dragged into court for..
Hmm. Treason? Maybe. Robbery? Murder? Ha...wow. When you think about it, anyone could blame anything on God. I mean, Sarah Palin could even go in for...okay I about went too far.

Now, we all aren't necessarily aware of Ally's beliefs, and we probably don't want to be to save controversy. But this story...geez.
So many religious people really separate themselves into fair weathered friends and foul weathered friends. Either they praise when things are going well, or they pray when things are going bad. Rarely both.

Ernie Chambers is a bit of a...well...a nut I guess.
I thought I was mental. Well after that Ouija Board experience I really do think I'm quite mental, but still, Mr. Chambers reigns here.

Can we just start suing all people of authority?
That would be awesome. I mean, that's what we do best as humans, right? Blame other people for our problems? We could pull it off.

Many Shades of Mental

Address:
http://healthcare.zdnet.com/?p=1425
There.
Well well...so I'm a little late this time. It was my own fault, though...I do wish to blame Fall "Break".

The title of the article "Are there really 750 million mentally ill?" pretty much covers what I'm about to elaborate on. And to answer...YES. There are. A grand 12% of the population. But what specific mental illnesses?
This article was lacking, to say the least. It gave some numbers, some dreadfully pithy descriptions...but failed to give causes and meanings.
The illnesses we are seeing MOST common are depression, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, suicide, epilepsy, dementia, disorders due to use of alcohol, disorders due to use of illicit drugs, and mental disorders in children.
Let's be brief: Depression, drugs, and dementia.
It'll get you every time.

Another part of the study said that for every 100,000 mentally ill of means, there are only 73 workers to treat them. Bit uneven, possibly. But even worse are the poor crazies, with about 29 workers per TEN MILLION.
This isn't an obstacle that cannot be fixed, and more and more people are going into the field. No, the real tragedy is getting those who need it now fixed. Fixed....what an appropriate word.
I'm sure many of you are unaware, as many of you are painfully aware, that I intend upon going into psychology...and abnormal psychology is just my thing. You see, my odd fascination with the mentally perturbed has given me an understanding of the logic and reason of the victims.
No, I'm not insane.
-shifty eyes-

What could cause the illnesses? Family life, trauma, hereditary illnesses, drugs and more drugs, alcohol, and the infamous life crisis, along with so many more causes. Perhaps you have heard the terms neurotic and psychotic...(Oh I hope so)...and often use them with a similar meaning. There is a large difference, however, between the two. Neurotic means that the patient is aware of their illness, and they become almost hypochondriacs in that respect. Everything in their life suddenly represents their mixed-up mentality. They may not even have something truly wrong, yet they behave and honestly feel as if they are mentally shot. Psychotics, however, are the ones that never seem to catch on. They truly have something wrong, and they don't know it. They don't even give it their attention. These are the people you will think of most commonly when introduced to insanity.
There are so very many mental illnesses in the world today. With the huge percentage we face now, and the many troubles being given to us, we can only expect more.
It is a sad existence.

Here We Go Again. No, this is NOT a Whitesnake rip-off.

This is the address. I am getting ready to put the address.
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5hwK_CSpBxsNuVUEaDuOwmSSCiqGwD93IHJA81
The address.
Where you can click on the address and the address will take you to the page of the address where the address takes you to the article from that address.

While we're on the subject, can we change the subject now? Sorry. Modest Mouse shines through. Anyways, TO THE ARTICLE!
But I'm finding it a little difficult to type so this is going to take ages.
My lovely choice this week is one not so ironic and oddly bright as last week's. No, I have now went to the untouchable zone of the Sunni vs. the Shiite. Anybody watch the news, other than me? You? Good. Well perhaps you have heard about the suicide attackers striking Shiite mosques...killing 24 people. Yeahhh that's not good.

Just ending is the holy Islamic month of Ramadan. So many attacks have taken place that it is ridiculous. People are thinking, even, that the Al-Qaida in Iraq is trying to provoke Sunni-Shiite reprisal killings. Let's hear this out:
Four days before the mentioned suicide attacks, 32 people were killed and over 100 injured in attacks in the Shiite areas of Baghdad. THEN, (latest news, at least) a suicide car bomber detonated his explosives about 20 yards from a mosque in southeastern Baghdad. The blast killed 14 people. Also, a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt as worshippers were leaving the Rasoul mosque. Using math, we can see that 24 having died total, and 14 at the first attack, 10 have died here. Even better, let's see a quote from one of the witnesses of the attack.

"Pools of blood and the smell of burned flesh were everywhere and I saw a man of about 70 bleeding and lying on the ground."

What is happening to the world?! Oh, I'm not finished. To the north, suspected Shiite militiamen gunned down six members of a Sunni family. The dead included two children, three women and a man, police said. Another woman and her small child were wounded. Revulsion? Oh for certain.

These people have no idea what they represent. People can read this article and see the violence, the newfound world-injuries, and the tragic loss of life from truly innocent people. Poor old 70 year old men caught in the line of fire, or in the explosion, just a-burnin' away. It's TERRIBLE!
Do people not see this? I know I'm not the only one who hears of these attacks and says..umm...
It's the end of the world, isn't it? Because for chrissakes there are people out there who will do anything radical to get approval and to get what they want. There are people who will kill themselves if they are told to. What in the world is wrong today? Why are people so entirely demented.
Believe it or not, I know the answers to this. I know that is the reason this article even relates to Anthropology...you know...the whole "You have to understand their culture to understand those things."
Well, my good ideology-conceiving friend (yes, I am talking to myself), I realize this. And I still refuse to think that any culture could, with good intentions, promote suicide to its followers.

Jim Jones cult, gone nation-wide.
I have managed to become angry whilst typing. And my wrist is dying so...Adios, loves.
